This \u2018\u2019Classic Super\u2019\u2019 cricket bat is made of willow and dates from the Victorian era. Willow is dense and fibre compact which makes it strong.<\/p>\n

Cricket was one of the most popular sports during this time, along with horse racing and football. The growth of leisure time among the middle classes contributed to its popularity.<\/p>\n

The sport was also seen as a way to promote teamwork and discipline amongst workers.<\/p>\n

The bat\u2019s label reads: \u2018\u2019Superlative in quality, style and finish, made in Pakistan\u2019\u2019. This also shows the influence of British culture during the colonial period in pre-partition India. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The bat would have been hand crafted.<\/p>\n
