[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]The flower-embossed brick was probably manufactured in Brora, possibly as a special order from Captain Andrew Ross, who built the Royal Victoria Hotel in 1897. <\/p>\n

Sadly, the popular, majestic hotel was burnt down in July 1924, when there was an electrical fault in a first-floor bedroom. This brick was discovered in the garden of a new house built on the site of the old hotel. It gives us a lovely glimpse of the hotel.
