Inners were traditionally made from pigs\u2019 bladders, before the use of rubber today. We are not sure what type of inner this has. <\/p>\n

Leather footballs would like this would absorb water in wet and muddy conditions, making it much heavier than when dry. Footballs of this type were gradually replaced by plastic balls in the 1960s.
