Knife from Culloden
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>West Highland Museum<\/b><\/h1>\n

[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]This knife may be in a very sorry state, but played an important part of in Highland history. It was found near Drummossie Moor, near Inverness, at the site of the infamous Battle of Culloden, the last engagement of \u2018The 1745\u2019. <\/p>\n

It was this battle that put an end to Jacobite hopes of a Stuart king, when the forces of \u2018Bonnie Prince Charlie\u2019 were resolutely defeated by a British government force, led by the \u2018Butcher\u2019 Cumberland.<\/p>\n
