Radio telegraphists would be the first in any field of action. Without them, no battle could be fought. They were brought back into action during the Falklands War in 1982 as it was the only form of long-distance communications available. <\/p>\n

Good cloud coverage was needed to bounce back the signals and if the skies were clear then the signal would be lost into space.
