Many such large stones have been found across the north half of Scotland. The name Picts, meaning painted people, was given to them by the Romans.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: large; font-family: Comfortaa; font-weight: normal;\">This magnificent cross-slab was found in two pieces in the floor of the old church in Rosemarkie around 1819.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;
