These heather twigs, joined together with a piece of handmade hemp rope, are actually an inventive, natural pot scrubber.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

They show the use of any available resources in the early 1950s, as the country emerged from the restrictions and privations of World War Two.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This pot scrubber also serves to remind us of the range of found materials used for everyday purposes before the wide availability of plastic and mass-production techniques.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
