Morse Code Key
Grantown Museum

Morse Code is a well-known method of communication and often associated with World War Two. However, even until the 1970s, this was actually the military’s main form of communication.

Radio telegraphists would be the first in any field of action. Without them, no battle could be fought. They were brought back into action during the Falklands War in 1982 as it was the only form of long-distance communications available.

Good cloud coverage was needed to bounce back the signals and if the skies were clear then the signal would be lost into space.
