Afghan Army Beret
The Highlanders’ Museum
This dark green wool beret likely belonged to an Officer of the Afghan Army. It was taken when the Highlanders (Seaforth, Gordons and Camerons) served in Afghanistan in the early 2000s.
This object shows how the British Army is still present in foreign wars; the regiment fought in Afghanistan throughout the nineteenth century, and returned to fight again in the twenty-first century.
